From LG:
The company currently has one OLED manufacturing production line which can churn out screens smaller than 15 inches, mainly for mobile phones, but it plans to expand production of these ultra-thin screens by setting up a new OLED production line in the first half of 2010.
The Kodak/LG merger will pay off. As soon as these plants are built and monitors of good sizes start pumping I will see if this will be the camel which finally causes me to dump this CRT.
Still on this Monitor which has started working fine again. I have to let it sit on for awhile and those lines disappear.
OLED is where it is at however. I am not touting which OLED will be the best, but LG seems to have made huge announcements regarding their plans and they seem to be the company of the time moving things forward. May the best OLED win!
Realtime collaberative discussions using the internet to find the best technology of our time.
LG OLED division should be up soon which is based on the Kodak Technology. Good stuff.
It feels like yesterday I remember the ramping up of LCD to be the commonplace product of our time, and now as of 2010 the transistion to OLED has and will begin.
Love innovation and meritocracy and amazing stuff of our time and people doing right for each other. Dislike corporate greed and companies which do things that have a negative aspect on peoples lives. OLED is great for the environment too and energy costs and needs. A win win all around.
