OMG GUYS, I FOUND THESE AMAZING SCREENSHOTS OF IN-GAME ACTION ON THE G90. IT WAS KINDA WEIRD CUZ I HAD TO PUSH PRINT SCREEN IN MY MIND CUZ ON THE DIRECT EYE-LINK YOU KNOW. NEWAY HERE IT IS, THESE GRAPHICS ROX!!!!111! THIS HAS BETTER GRAPHICZ THEN EVEN HALF LIFE 3. THIS IS REALISM FOLKS!

see, the crowbar only looks like that when you try to take a screenshot. but when you use the direct eye-link, it looks 100% realistic.

Right. I would imagine it's hard to capture that level of optical realism on the crude 32-bit color two-dimensional screens that most of us shmoe's have.

It's not 256-pipes, it's 512 F@@IN pipes! They posted a screenshot of 22,000 3dMarks, but it will really score over 60,000 when paired up with two eight-core Athlon 64's at 4.4 GHz, which conveniently, AMD plans to release on the same day as the G90. It's a C-O-N-spiracy... NV, AMD, the plant that posted this "information", and the press. That's right. It's all so ATI will think their R720 is a winner when it is released with 256 pipes and scores over 27,000 3dMarks. When people see G90 = 512 pipes = 60,000 they will say ATI suX0rz and everyone will buy G90. This misinformation already made the front page of HardOCP. See, it's started, man. It's an assault on superior Canadian engineering! Fight the power!

holy shit guys ... I just got back from the future ...

My card is friggin cool .. X-files isn't a lie ... Aliens do arrive on dec 22 ... I saw them .. they brought the ATi card with them. ATi is currently working with those aliens, It explains the reason behind their Alien pictures found here



If you guys wanna know how I went to the future , I tried the card in my car and that's how I went to the future. I felt a surge of electricity and then I saw lights rushing by me which took me all the way to the end of time ..

You people on the forums piss me off! You're damn biased to nVidia it makes me sick! You haven't even posted up the article that Tomshardboner.com had put up earlier today about ATi's offering.

It's another exciting edition to video card wars between ATi and nVidia and we have reference boards for both! We'd like to congratulate ATi for making such a strong comeback. For those of you that didn't remember, ATi went bankrupt from not being able to tap out their R800 line in time and was bought out by a famous rapper.

Our test rig will be an Intel Pentium 3 Cheap Human Korean Labor Precott processor. If you'd like to learn how to set one up then head to our article on that about how to lure Koreans into the back of your van with copies of StarCraft.

Our first test was with Doom3 and we tried to test on as wide of a range of cards and we could get our hands on.

Not surpsing really as nVidia's OpenGL support only gets better and better with every new iteration of card.

Another popular game that's been around for a while is Half-Life 2.

As we can see the G-Unit preforms better in Half-Life 2 still. Once again, even under the ownership of G-Unit, the ATi card is still king of Direct3D it appears.

To stay up to date with the most current games we tried out Quake 3 on our rig.

As you can see the results are pretty much the same and are not as impressive as before. The reason being is that the G90 and G-Unit is actually bottlenecked by our overworked Korean labor force. When we get three fresh new Koreans we'll benchmark again, so be sure to look for an update in the coming weeks!

Here we have benchmarks for TieFighter running in DOS which give us surprising results.

As you can see here, clearly the ATi G-Unit was made to be the king in DOS! nVidia has promised us that before this card goes retail their drives will give a significant boost in performanc when running games in DOS.

Another disturbing thing we found was when we enabled HDR in the upcoming PC smash, MegaMan 2. If you was around at E3, we knew that you was floored by MegaMan 2 and we was able to get our grubby mits on an early retail copy of this game to test on our system.

As we can see here, nVidia's HDR bloom is much better then ATi's HDR. On the left the image quality is better (as usual with ATi) but everything seems to look so dark. On the right we have the same game running with nVidia's HDR, the quality may not be as good, but look at how bright it is.

Conclusion:

We're going to have to give this one to ATi for superier DOS support. nVidia really dropped the ball with the G90, but as stated before they swear to get their act together. Hopefully with future driver optimization we'll be able to play Tie Fighter in DOS with our G90 just as we can with the G-Unit.

I happen to have a friend who's uncle's dog-sitter's father works at nvidia. I told him about this thread, and he sent me this top-secret photo of actual G90 silicon!!!!!!!!!

Clearly it has 12 cores, and 640mb of ram. GDDR5 I suspect.

Each core theoretically has 200% of the performance of TWO 7800gtx's running in SLI. Of course, we can expect about 150% in real-world applications and games. THAT'S AN 1800% PERFORMANCE INCREASE OVER 2 7800GTX'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to skip the 7xxx generation of cards and hold out for this bad-boy. Estimated launch price is $599, but it's said that Nvidia will only be able to produce 7 of them. I'm sure we'll see some price gouging.

I voided the triple transferable life time warranty on my g90 by replaceing the pink thermal pad with AS5!! sunzabitches!!! :p Greatest thread in a long while still LMAO.

This is the sd model, oem version. im not sure on the mem and core speeds...that all depends on universe, altitude, internet speed, and stuff like that.
