Dual core is not for me (yet). I have a separate HTPC that has a hyperthreaded Pentium 4 (poor man's dual core). I would much prefer a separate computer for AV duty because my experience has been that hardware video acceleration gets really screwy when you go to a dual monitor setup. The fact that my Plasma and my LCD are different aspect ratios also creates problems. So the best solution is to have separate computers altogether
So quite simply, I don't need dual core because I don't need a "do it all in one" computer.
