So I had the impression before coming to this forum that OCZ was a great company and I have never had a problem with them. But after reading your threads I have to wonder how OCZ can market things like the Vertex 4 as and I quote: The pinnacle of storage performance, continually sets the bar for SSD's each year" and such things. If OCZ is so unreliable then how can they market their products like this without a false advertisement case against them? and if they are so horrible how come they are still a company. I personally have no complaints about them and have gotten all my rebates and everything so I wonder why you all seem to hate them so much?

They can probably prove their slogan on select models in their lab, so it's A OK. And in these "rare" real-world cases where their products totally fuck up, they offer warranty replacements. So they can laugh at false-advertising claims and still produce total crap.

Don't you love capitalism?

I wish every company was Japanese. Seppuku was a great concept. Shoddy products and world hunger would be solved with a single sword stab.

To be fair to OCZ they always benchmark well so on performance I guess they fine, the issue for me tho is I want reliable hardware so OCZ isnt my cup of tea.

need more details as to what you are having issues with. I use a Adata sx300 mSATA drive in an old core 2 duo machine and it litterally knocks the socks off of the 1TB HDD it replaced as boot drive

Unless you actually put something on it and use >50 % capacity :)

ocz sets the bar in your face, straight! the you use to smash that shitty piece of crap drive

Their quality is bad, but their RMA service is pretty good. (I guess that comes with the experience of everyone having to return stuff all the time lol)

OCZ can say stuff like this because it's not really saying anything. Sets the bar every year. Sets the bar at what? The mounting bracket polish perhaps?

Never will I ever buy another OCZ product. 3 RMA's on one SSD and finally a return to amazon.
