OCZ Prepping 1kW Unit

I hope it's single rail. Other companies are moving towards it. SIlverstone has this on their page, but it's not available yet. http://silverstonetek.com/products-op1000.htm

Also, I hope it's better than their ultra crappy line of GameXtremes

The GXS units are rock solid and work quite well. They cost less than the FSP Epsilon units that they are and have a better warranty.

Yeah, I read his review and still bought the 700w OCZ. I know I'm not going to come anywhere close to maxing it out, and it's a good value. Seeing as how it replaced a 3 year old TT 560 PurePower, I think I'm going to be ok.

EDIT: Typos

Dangerous ripple on the 12V. Way exceeds ATX specifications. :(

It's not quite that bad... the measured ripple is indeed high, but there's no long term data to suggest it's dangerous. It could affect component life eventually, but that could mean only six instead of seven good years ;)

FWIW, Zalman's own Epsilon based unit, the 600W heatpipe one, apparently uses better caps and doesn't seem to have the ripple issue.
