I just received the Evostream in the mail since I wanted a modular PSU with UV cables and this was one of the few choices.. It looks alright, but the fan is sooo loud. I can't stand it. I want to turn off my computer completely. Is it possible to replace the fan with a quieter fan. I really, really can't stand the noise. Please respond thanks!!!! Please look at website I posted. Thank you.

From this site it looks like a 3 pin connector so it's not soldered:

Can you all recommend any good really nice 80mm fan that would work well in this setup?
 
Uh well you could take it apart and replace the fan. I don't know how it is connected, if its soldered to the board you may have to solder a new fan to it. If it's connected via a molex or 3pin, then it'd be easier. That being said, a quieter fan will likely push less air and run the PSU hotter. May not be a good idea.

I'm not going to kid you; this PSU is not all that quiet. The noise is similar to the Zippy 600W I reviewed last month and is louder than other PSU's with a single 80MM fan, such as the Silverstone Zeus. At least it doesn't have a 40MM fan inside, like the Zippy 850W.

And once those temperatures hit 35°C, the 80MM fan was spinning so loud I thought my wife was vacuuming underneath the computer desk.

....the EvoStream is loud and expensive. I suppose the best way to wrap this up is to say that if money is no object, and you crank up your speakers way beyond the noise level of this power supply's fan, I can't talk you out of getting an EvoStream for yourself if 40A on the 12V rail is enough power.

Shoot, you're right. I heard it was loud, but I wasn't thinking this much. I should have reviewed the product more before I bought it. I don't think you do, but...do you know what the connection was on the end of that fan as I would really like to replace it. Or by any chance do you have the PSU still and wouldn't mind checking? That would be great!!!! Please?

I got curious and cracked open a few of the PSUs I have lying around here. They all had the fan leads soldered in. I don't have an OCZ, but the few pictures I can find of them cracked open, here on HardOCP and elsewhere, look like they are soldered in.

You may have to tough it out or replace the PSU with a more modern larger fan model.
