OCZ cryo-z release date?

It's not sub 300$ yet. It's supposed to debut around 350 and if enough are sold, then they can hopefully lower the price on it.

idk when it will be released, but it should be pretty nice. i saw a pre-production sample at CES, and i think the performance is quite good for the price. Designed in part by Chilly1 himself.

There is a fairly lenghty thread on this at extremesystems.org, and Tony from OCZ was posted occasionaly. He said that they were hoping for a March release. If thats still the plan, i have no idea.

honestly it would be one of the only ways i would get into phase.... around $300 is the max I would spend... mainly because I could move my watercooling

Now on the other hand, if Corsair made this Unit in stead of a slouching OCZ this product would of been out on the shelves already.:D

The last I heard was that they had scrapped the project... but I haven't been able to get any confirmation on that.

They have not scrapped the project...please site your source...

I learned from a friend who attended the OCZ CES hotel room that they are having problems specifically with the compressor and overall goal. Combining performance and low cost is much harder than OCZ thought.

wow negative temperatures for 300 dollars?!? Just wow if they can pull it off, don't see myself buying this unless it hits 150:p

I would take a product from OCZ over Corsair any day of the week... my OCZ 2gb kit has been awsome and the only piece of hardware I have kept through the evolution of my rig in my sig :)

OCing ability to go to fsb 270 1:1 and having a 9x multi, especially when i had an Asus with less mem dividers, it made OCing sooooo much easier and better...

also their RMA is easy and I got upgraded through the process on my DDR400 plats 1GB kit that is in my fathers machine... i have Golds and when they arrived DOA from newegg I RMAed them the OCZ because they are in CA and i figured they would be faster I got plats sent back to me with a letter saying they were out of stock of Golds and didnt want me to wait... i had new RAM in 8 days...

OCZ cus for life.....

but individual experience is the key and if you have had good experience with other companies well then go with them.....
