OCZ Agility 3 benchmarks look bad

The atto ones look pretty decent but the HD tune ones are terrible, any ideas as to what could be going on?
 
Disable EIST, C states, set Windows power options to high performance, change hard drive sleep to never and rerun benchmarks. Also, HDTune isn't really the best think to be benching an ssd with.
 
Also, make sure that any antivirus software is disabled completely before running a benchmark.

Really? This is what I get with Microsoft security essentials running and I don't think my scores are going to improve.

It depends on the antivirus and depends on the benchmark and how it creates the files it uses to test.
 
For starters, if the drive is your O/S drive while you're benching it, then the O/S activity on the drive is interfering with the results. If you want a more accurate benchmark then start by connecting it as a secondary drive and booting the O/S with another drive. Otherwise all you're looking at is how the drive is coping with the O/S at that particular moment.
 
agility 3 drives aren't the best choices out there. Real world performance seems to be fairly low end from most user experiences I researched before going for the vertex 3 in raid 0. that's why they are practically on a fire sale all the time.
