I am going for a 3.6Ghz OC on an E6600. The am using a Evga 680i and a Themalright Ultra 120 Extreme. My CPU is lapped and so is my HSF. Temps are fine for everything but I need a little help with OCing.

Vcore: 1.5
CPU FSB: 1.5
NForce SPP: 1.5

At a 1600 FSB, I can boot fine and run Orthos for around 2 minutes. Then my computers just restarts. I don't think I can raise the Vcore anymore as my temps are already 67C under load. Any suggestions?

Oh, I am using Corsair Dominator, unlinked, running at 800. I relaxed timing and still got the same thing.

Edit: I am trying a 1580 FSB giving me a 3.42Ghz. Seems stable so far, but I'd really like to get 3.6.

Have you done any work on the Northbridge/heatpipe ? Its critical it remains cool Many have found the factory paste insufficient. hardened etc. Its not just about the CPU. ;)

Yep, the MCP idles at 46C and the TIM was replaced on the North and South Bridge, as well as the Mosfets.

So I believe I will keep a 3.42(or 3.4)Ghz OC. But a quick question; would I be better off running a 1:1 Ratio and down clocking my RAM a bit, or just keep my RAM at 800 and not bothering with a 1:1 Ration? It would run at like 756 if I did keep the 1:1 Ration. Thanks.

I settled at 3.5Ghz. It ran stable so far, but I will be testing it over night.

I dialed it back to 400 x 8 and runs cool.; vCore 1.375; FSB 1.400; NB 1.450; SB 1.50; ICH auto; vDRAM 2.1v.
Orthos ran 12+ hours when I quit
