OC 3200 Winnie help!

I have just overclocked my 3200 winnie I have it at 2.25 ghz memory at 500 mhz (1 gig Corsair pc4000) HTT at 1000 mhz and agp pci locked.

Does anyone think I can go further (probably) Using an Akasa EVO 33 fan for cooling as well. New GFX card coming monday or tuesday PNY 6600 GT AGP.

Mobo is Gigabyte K8NS Ultra 939.

Had cpu at 240 x 10 and it failed Prime within about 3 mins. So i upped voltage to 1.5v and seemed ok then failed after 45 mins.

Need some help please. :D

Edit: Would my memory being not more than 24 hours old hold my overclock back, I mean does it need run in?
 
I'd lower the HTT even more to something like 3x. I'd also bump the voltage to 1.55V. I run mine at that speed all the time and it doesn't heat up too much. You might just have a bad chip. Mine only goes to about 2.45Ghz and I need a bump in voltage. Some have gotten 2.6Ghz with stock voltage.
 
Well, all chips scale with voltage....you just have to find where it starts to suck...like my clawhammer for example. I can get 2.35GHz at 1.55v (from 1.5v stock)...but to get 50MHz more for 2.4GHz, it requires 1.65v. :eek: So yeah, once you find that sweet spot, leave it....don't worry about the end # being even. ;)
 
Definitly put the HT to x3 and raise the cpu voltage to 1.55-1.6.

Also I'm not sure if it's the same with all 3200+ but mine seemed to like a cpu multiplier of 9x alot better than 10x.

At 1.6v I could only get 10x240 (2400) to run semi-stable (4 hours prime) but lowering it to 9 I can get 9x278 (2502) prime stable 24+.

It's worth a shot.
 
Something not right I am trying everything. As I said I have corsair xms 1 gig dual channel pc4000. I thought with this memory i could hit higher clock speeds :( .

I have tried 9x multiplier and 10x at 9x278 and 1.6 v i get blue screen. So i tried 10x 240 at 1.6 v and 2.7 v on Dimm i get a failure on prime95 after minutes. :mad: .

HTT is at 3x now. Temps are fine 35 full load.

Anyone know what the best timings for my memory would be I have them at 2.5 3 3 8 just now at 2.7v, cpu is at 2.3Ghz
 
What is the best way to test using Prime95, I mean what test should I use there are 3 tests I am using the Blend test. This is the test the cpu is failing and tbh if it is failing on Prime then I will not leave it overclocked till its 100% stable (obviously :D ).
 
Mine takes 1.6V to keep max O/C stable and .2V bump to the HT bus to keep 4x at that speed. Specs in sig, very similar.
 
In case anyone was interested I have RMA'd my new Corsair pc4000pt memory it was failing blend test and had lots of errors in memtest (just my luck). I have requested Corsair TwinX 2 x 512MB XMS3200 XL in place of this memory wanted to know what ye all thought of this memory.
