I can, Parasite Eve. If you have never played it, check it out, that had me hooked for a long time.oqvist said:Morrowind has the big big advantage of coming before Oblivion. At that time I can´t think of a comparable action game/rpg.

I could wander around enjoying the scenery in Morrowind doing nothing but in Oblivion i never felt immersed enough in the world to do that. Plus, i liked how Morrowind's environment was more alien. Oblivion had pretty boring landscapes. The only part i thought was interesting was the jungle environment in the southwest because it reminded me of the marshes in Morrowind. Morrowind's combination of Daedric and Dwarven ruins also made for some forboding and dangerous areas that were so satisfying to come to when you were finally strong enough to dive in. I never really felt threatened by what was inside the Ayleid ruins and forts in Oblivion.

Oblivion (I played on X360): I managed to stay sort of interested for about a week before I lost interest. Again, no compelling story line, an awful combat system (kept getting attacked by fucking wolves and the like that I had to look down to see), and it takes forever to walk or ride a horse everywhere. Granted, places aren't as close as most RPGs make them seem, but it is a game, not reality, it is no fun to spend literally 15 minutes in real time just wandering around trying to find how to get into a town.

Mr.Tundra said:Oblivion's combat is very fun and fast paced. It's not just an equation of whether you hit somebody or not like in morrowind. That and the graphics are the only thing that Oblivion has over morrowind in my book. And to agree with the post preceding mine the quests are a lot of fun in Oblivion too.
it just seems to me like the uselessly took out so much awesome stuff from Morrowind. Such as spellmaking and spears and the difference between long and short blade. If you train with a dagger it doesn't make you good with a claymore. I cans ee why Levitate was taken out since there aren't just interior and exterior cells anymore, now there are loading screens to enter towns. Still I miss my levitate and high jumps.
The main quest in morrowind was just more entertaining than Oblivion in my opinion.
All in all Oblivion was just so dumbed out in comparison to Morrowind. I got kind of bored with Oblivion in a much shorter period of time than Morrowind. Oblivion is just so much easier and simple but that just takes away from the game for me. Remember in Morrowind how it was near impossible to get a full set of daedric armor? There was only one NPC in the game who had it. But in Oblivion get to a high enough level and an everyday bandit witll wear it. That's just silly.
I still had fun with Oblivion and it's still a great game don't get me wrong. I was just so much more immersed by Morrowind.
