And there is a big difference between not meeting recommended and full settings.

Yeahhhh, reposts are lame so go to his thread and say it there mine was was posted first, albeit 2 minutes earlier.

come on now....

You should add a "I have enough to run it decently" option. But if anything I would'nt get it for PC, but for 360 instead.

Just think it might be a little too hardcore RPG for me.

My PC will run it, but I have a 360, and a 61" DLP.

I will buying this for my 360.. guaranteed.

i should be able to run it at a decent clip. My next upgrade around Christmas is going to be dual core, SLI, and watercooling, so that should help getting to max settings....

i meet reccomended(exactly without overclock) but im buying it on 360

i will either buy it on pc later or obtain it via magic(im god you know)but probably not for awhile(until theres worth wild mods)

I will buy it for the 360 first and then wait for a couple patches and some good mods before playing on the PC. This is the same thing I did for Morrowind. Plus I may get a dual core this fall/winter if they drop below $250 and maybe a "DX10" card if they are out.

I am still a little worried how Oblivion will perform because Morrowind runs choppy even with my rig (granted I have a load of mods installed...).

All good. Got those specs bitch slapped silly. Although, shite, looks like my coming x1900 isn't supported.

:p

Hello, 360 version. My PC weeps at the thought of those requirements, and it's not that old.

hopefully they have some kind of demo to test with, i'd much rather get it on pc. but i will get it on 360 if i have to.

I should be able to run that on my laptop, however I have a 360 so I'll stick to that. I played through morrowind on the original xbox and I like the controller apposed to the keyboard mouse idea.

Xbox360 option here.

I don't see the sense in spending upteens amounts of money on something that won't run it at a constant 60fps at/or above 1600x1200.

Sorry for forgetting the in between nuances/full setting stuff of the poll guys, I just got really excited about it.

I've had the 360 version ordered for a while now, and am glad to hear that it's going to be the same as the maxed out PC version. My computer would handle it just fine, but i'm starting to shift more and more of my gaming to consoles. I just wish it would hurry up and come out as I don't know how i'll wait so long.

Right now I could run it without to many problems. (i.e not maxed out)

However, by the time it comes out it shouldn't be a problem. (x1900xt, 2gb of ram and maybe a DC Opty are on there way)

amd 64 3400
Geforce 6800ultar
768mb ram (plan to get a 1gig stick before release).

I'm hoping to run it on highest/high, might nock a few things down for performance, but hopefully won't have to pull too much.

Hopefully they'll release some sort of demo, that way I can try it on my laptop. If it doesn't run too well, I'll just get it for the Xbox 360.

got those specs... just barely on the video card department with a 6800NU but i do havea X360 as well.. so yeah

i ready for you ESIV

I will be playing that shit at max, If eVGA releases their mATX SLI to the consumer market, I'll have SLi'd GT's to play at 1600x1200.

I'm gonna get this on PC because I want the mouse and keyboard. My system will be up graded by the release.

A64 3500+
evga SLI NF4 board
evga 7800gt

(Got the bundle with the free mobo on newegg)

I meet the recommended settings but I don't think I'll be running it on high. I'm hoping for 1024x768 with everything on medium.

Hmmm I have simular specs to yours, but I will run it on 1280x1024 resolution as it would look crappy otherwise (LCD), and I'm hoping I can run it on full graphical settings without AA/AF otherwise I'm going to upgrade, I will have 1500$ saved by march so I figure I'll be able to get a better rig then my current one.

Specs.
Sempron 3400+ @ 2.25Ghz (No temp difference between stock)
1GB Ram
Geforce 6800GT
320GB+120GB Hard Drives

Hey, fellow [H]ers, could one of you post the specs on this thread for me? I can't visit the site from work because it is blocked. :(

Thanks for the help!

Hey, thanks man! Looks like I should be alright then. Although I have a 360, I would rather play it on the PC if at all possible.

Not that the specs necessarily mean a whole lot. I had > recommended for Morrowind and spent a couple years playing it @ 10-15 fps.

It stinks that they took out the object-related lighting effects of the game. : (

It really gives a sense of realism to a game when EVERYTHING casts shadows like it should. Oh well, maybe next time?

So according to the official specs.....you don't need an OS to play it if you have the hardware strong enough?

Cool.

The devs have stated that there will never be a demo. They say that due to the open nature of the game producing a demo is not an option. Putting up "invisible walls" in a certain area would really be the only way to do it. Though you think they could use that "super easy and intuitive" construction set to create some sort of ultra small demo island....

Oblivion for DOS 2.66 :)

i don't know why, but the elderscrolls.com site never works for me. i thought the website was just like permanently down, but seeing as how you all can go there with no problems, i guess that's not the case. it's the only website that does that for me. any ideas? it just times out for me.

i meet recommended specs, no way i'll be able to run full settings though.
will be buying it for PC, dont have and have no intention of buying a 360.

A64 3700+(@2.6), 1gb pc3200, x800gt(@545/110).

graphics card upgrade is on the cards this summer along with another gig of ram, so i'll have to live with whatever performance i get until then.

PC will run it w/ no problems @ full. However if I get the game at all it'll be on the 360.

Xbox360 = Dolby Digital sound, comfort of the couch, 110" home theatre projection screen

:D

My PC does the same thing... ATi makes a great HDTV over DVI tools. : )

I also meet the recommended specs almost exactly (3.06 P4, x800xtpe, gig of RAM). My only hope is that this game won't really require the kind of high frame rates something like a FPS does. If I can run at least 1024x768 w/ 2xAA at a steady 25 frames per second, I will be alright. Having less than 2gb of RAM is probably going to mean stutter city, though.
