Oblivion crashing?

If I play Oblivion for say 30 min+ (dunno about 30 min, just assuming for a good amount of time), if I escape and then 'exit game' I get an error message like a crash message, where I hit "don't send" and just "ok," right when I quit the game. So it's not during the game, but when I quit, I get the error message, anyone have this happen to them? Why is this happening?

Also, it's happened once so far out of 20-30+ hours in which Oblivion crashed on me, similar error to the "exit game" error but this time it crashes IN GAME WHILE playing vs. the other was just exiting.

any ideas?
 
It's normal. I get that even when I'm not OCed...it's a software thing.
 
Send error report happens to a lot of folks when they exit the game. It seems to happen to me when I play for an hour or more at one sitting. No big deal, it doesn't appear to screw up anything.
Game crashes do occur and it depends on the pc as to how often. I've had it happen 4 or 5 times in the 40-50 hours I've played so far. Knock wood I haven't had any corrupt quick save issues. It's good to save often and do manual saves.
 
i get it all the time

and now I have a REAL PROBLEM! my save games are screwed so that the ones that work make me spawn stuck to walls - i think i have too many mods:

ANYONE ELSE GOT THIS PROBLEM AND SOLVED IT?

aha no it was just the companion mod where you can recruit NPC's and imprison them naked in your dungeons. once i let them all go it stopped spawning me in walls...
 
yeah i wouldn't expect my game to run like butter with all those mods either
 
Game has a horrible amount of bugs. After Morrowind (had the xbox version that had dirty disc errors) and now this I doubt I will buy a bethesda game again. Too bad because I was looking forward to the new fallout games.
