Trash. It seems like once a week at least, I'll get a batch of these that just are utter crap. Constant driver resets anytime I try to do anything with my main system. I can't even browse the web.
I've tried every WHQL driver out there that supports the GTX 275. Still happens. Its not temps, it rarely hits more then 60C. Clocks don't matter because even after one of the resets, it'll still do a reset when its running 2D clocks.

Anyway just wanted to bitch, and see if anyone else is experiencing this, or if its just my unlucky ass.

No issues here, I crunched probably 40 of them while they were in beta testing and I've done at least 75 more since they've been released, not a single EUE or driver crash. Looking over at my HFM.net monitor right now, I see four GPUs crunching 5910's at the moment.

Sorry mate. :(

My 8800GTs dont seem to have a problem with them, but then I only use those 2 machines for encoding video as well as F@H. I'm inclined to think its my OC, but then they still do it when its already reset and running at 300/800 core/shaders.

if your core shader is folding at a speed of 300/800 your stuck in 2d mood. reinstall drivers reboot

Yeah, I've been going through them here as well with no issues. Just glanced at my remaining BA2 / three GPU setup out here and it was hosting 5910's on each card....

do you mean these piece of shit WU's? take a look at my gpu usage.. lol this is why the 5910 WU's are a pile of crap and explain why your stuff's crashing..

I haven't had much luck with these either. I've had a number of them crash on an 8800GT and 8600GT. I would think it was the video cards themselves except that the video cards are perfectly stable otherwise and not running hot. I've actually underclocked the 8600GT and still had trouble. I've also dropped to stock clocks on my 8800GT (which has always worked fine overclocked in everything) and still had trouble with them as well.

just looking at the gpu usage alone on my gtx 260 id say the WU its self is unstable since it cant figure out how to use the gpu correctly.. this is the only work unit ive seen that fluctuates that drastically on the gpu.. the 1888's bounce between 70-95%.. thats the only other WU set that does that..

It's funny you bring this up, because I've actually had two of these units crash on me recently. I'm not having any performance problems, but it is a pain in the ass when I have to reboot my PC to get back to 3D clocks thanks to a driver crash.

yep i know how to feel.. i have to do it 2-3 times a day with one of the games i play.. only other way around not having to reboot is reinstalling your drivers.. which depending on how much stuff you have starting up takes just as long.. though ive left my GTX 260 @ 600/1404/1100 the whole time so it hasnt crashed with the 5910 WU's "YET".. but just watching the GPU usage ill bet it will crash one of these times..

Still no issues here but I'm not a gamer.

This. Mine does exactly the same thing, and it'll crash whenever I'm doing anything on the system. browsing the web, reading some crap, etc. Trying to watch video is beyond impossible. I've even come home from work to find it blew up when its not doing anything else. Checked the log and its always a 5910 that does it.

It is faster for me to reinstall the drivers cause I have 2 raid cards in the system so it takes like 3-4 minutes to boot up. But its just a pain in the ass.

yeah so far i received 4 of them yesterday.. just kept stopping the client and deleting the WU folder so it would download a new wu.. not worth my time to deal with driver crashes.. doesnt matter how important the science is.. bad enough dealing with it in crysis..

I just had one crash on me when I opened a webpage with flash content. Time to reboot again... :(

I guess I'm lucky that I don't have to reboot when crashes happen. However, it's bad when all I did was open a folder and it crashed. After that, I started a file copy process and it crashed again. In my case, I lose Aero Glass every time it happens. What I normally have to do is go to the services and restart the Window Desktop Manager service.

This does happen on Vista a hell of a more than on 7. Unfortunately, I don't have the funds to pick up a copy of 7 and the RC is almost expired so I had to go back to Vista.

Happened again when I was at work today.. well kinda.. going by the log it was actually a 5909 that EUE'd. I love folding all day at 1/3 speed. Doing a 5781 (783 pointer) now.. stays above 90% GPU usage.. and I can actually use the machine.. the 783 pointers are my favs.
