I love how Half-Life 2's performance always increases. I'm at 400FPS now, yay?

Some of us have 6,000Hz monitors s don't hate! :p

(I kid I kid)

The performance increases are only for certain gpu's or combinations of gpu's. They sorta falsely advertise there. You need to read over the Fixed and Changed issues section to know if you need to bother upgrading the driver or not. I'm done upgrading drivers unless I have to fix an issue.

What was busted on downclocking? I've used the NiBiTor from MVtech to downclock and downvolt the 8xxx and 2xx series.

Do you overclock your CPU with BIOS settings?
Yes, but my motherboard BIOS was designed to be played with. I am confident in editing / flashing / tooling around with video card BIOS settings but I'd prefer it just downclock as it should without me having to muck around with it. Right now I just manually downclock with RivaTuner profiles+hotkeys but it doesn't lower the voltages.

You have the glasses? How do you like them? I've been thinking of getting them myself (yes, I have a 120hz LCD).

It's not perfect in all games, but the 3D effect is pretty damn awesome. It's tough to go back to flat displays. Keep in mind if your 120Hz LCD is a TV it probably won't actually take a 120hz signal from your PC. The only 120Hz LCD's I'm aware of are the Samsung and Viewsonc 22" models.

Weird... my downclocking issues were long gone after 182.XX

Edit:
These have fixed downclocking for me.

Glad to hear.

Yeah I have the Samsung LCD. What games do you use it with?

Thanks OP

The last batch totally messed up some of my games. Even Crysis with the CCC configs ran horrible, and that usually runs beautifully!
