I recently removed my AIW8500 to send in for RMA repairs. In the meantime I am using a GF3 Ti200 card, but thats where the problems begin.
After installing the most current nvidia drivers from their website the screen goes black after the XP splash screen/loading bar screen. While the screen is black I can hit tab twice and hit enter and whatever user I may have highlighted, I hear the sounds windows makes as it loads up to that desktop, but the screen stays black. I know the computer hasn't locked up, it just won't display anything after the splash screen.
If I go into safe mode I can get in to the desktop uninstall drivers, but when I reboot and get into the desktop XP automatically reinstalls the bad drivers. How do I stop XP from doing this?
I have used this card on this exact system before, but this time it won't load corectly. I am not sure what drivers I used last time, but windows keeps loading what I assume are bad drivers.
Any help, PLEASE!
