Have this authorize on Steam, and have it come with the GTX880. I'll get two GTX880s and sell the other copy. Short of that, I'll just wait for a Steam Sale or buy it from the sale/trade forums here.
 
I should have posted this last week. No, I don't have insider knowledge, just the unerring knack of making big purchases just before promotions are attached to the item I purchased.

Being that Borderlands 2 was Steamworks, it's a reasonably safe assumption that this will also be. I'd also be shocked if they dropped this promotion when the 8 series came out.

I'm in the same boat though, I'll be getting a 8 series card when they launch, and it would be nice to get this game for free. I'd really like to play it, but I still haven't even finished all the B2 DLC.

Spend $300-$1000 now and get a game that will with be worth $5 dollars by Black Friday.... how many will be suckered in by this?

Yup already on Ebay, $20 and up. I'm waiting for reviews... I loved BL2, but got sick of it after the DLC... this is more of the same.. but on a moon. Super high jumps! Weeeeee.

$10 maybe.

Suckered in? Are you under the impression that people buy video cards just to receive the free game and discard the card?

Also, this is true for basically every game that's ever been bundled with a video card. The market gets flooded with extra game codes and the value of them tanks. By your logic, everyone who's ever bought a video card with a game bundle is a sucker.
 
I have an idea. Why don't they bundle Steam gift cards instead.

Yeah, my Dual GTX670 and Dual R9-270x are getting old, but I can't bring myself to get a "about to be replaced" GTX780 Ti at this time, I'd rather wait and get two GTX-880s.
