So the numbers for console sales came out this week, and every manufacturer is claiming a victory. The write up at Ars is the most succinct, so I will let you guys look at those numbers.

Sony is growing, Microsoft has Grand Theft Auto IV coming along with exclusive content, and Nintendo has no one left to impress. The beat goes on.

Not to be snotty but, does anyone read these position statements other than reviewers and marketing departments? I would have thought we all had dismissed self serving PR for what is. New and improved with blue crystals!
 
No one believes the PR spin. It's just nice to know the numbers and laugh at PR firms trying to make everyone look good.
 
I dont understand why one console has to "win"...they all target different niches of the console community and can happily co-exist.

Ever hear of Coleco, Atari, Sega, Intellivision, Fairchild, Neo Geo, CD-i, 3DO, etc....
