Not getting -bigadv today.

Has anyone even looked at Evil's sig?

You mean his A3 -bigadv machine stats? :)

I assume since I and likely everyone else received the same client a day or two ago, -bigadv will be coming fairly soon to Windows.

There was an automatic new A3 core download that went from v2.17 to v2.19 yesterday.

I still have one machine on 2.17, but its still working on a WU and I'm sure it'll get the new one after that. I did notice that Evil has 2.19 running on his Windows -bigadv machines....hopefully that means soon for everyone.

If you want v2.19 you can delete the core and it will DL the new version. I reverted to v2.17 on my Opteron machine because it seemed to process slower, so hope it was only on one WU.

my machines picked up 2.19 today

I do not know what any of you are taking about. Many of you are just plain crazy.

2.19 is an improvement over 2.17, but many of the new projects need 2.19 so it should upgrade when it needs to.

As always, I do not suggest anyone upgrade core versions between work units.

Stop your client with the -oneunit flag and you can delete you A3 core to get the new 2.19 version.

May require -advmethods to get it, i am not 100% sure.

Both of my smp2 machines have grabbed 2.19, not sure if my -bigadv VM's did or not when they were doing a3's the other day.
I don't really pay much attention to what goes on behind those closed doors, I just make sure my stuff is running. :)

That's what a lot of people tell me at work. ;)

After that run of getting A3s both VMs on my system are pulling down bigadvs. I'm a happy camper once again.

That machine got the newer core sometime this morning. It's an older dual core machine, so it takes a while to get through the WU's....I think the machine averages something like 1k PPD.

has anybody tried a -bigadv flag on a windows smp2 client?

I haven't yet. I just reconfigured my machine with the -bigadv flag, so I'll see in a couple of hours what happens after it finishes its current WU.

Just as an update, that would be a negative on the bigadv for Windows. My machine just received a regular A3.

Having not seeing any news on the Folding Forum (or [H]ere) about Win A3 bigadvs being out I'd expect the result is to be getting a regular WU or something else depending if the advmethods is set.

Sorry for the run on sentence, too much caffeine.:p

Yeah, I think if Stanford released A3 -bigadv there would be some sort of announcement made, or someone would post a thread about it unless I totally missed it.

Caffeine is good. :D

I'm sure when windows -bigadv comes out Evil will start a thread.
