edit: PROBLEM SOLVED

Hallo guys, first time posting in this forum ;)

Anyway, let me describe you the issue.

I've got set of Altec 2100 speakers connected to an Audigy 2 sound card.
Yesterday i noticed hissing sound reaching from the speakers, when they're set to max vol. You can hear this sound only if your ear is placed 3cm from the speaker.
I want to know if this is normal, and if not - i'll be glad you guys help me solve the problem.

one last WEIRD thing - i have this "couple" connected for year, and i noticed it just yesterday..

That's normal at max volume. Edit: removing this stuff because I don't want to make you screw something up.

I figured out the problem.
the mic wasn't muted, so i muted it and hissing sound stopped, even on max. vol.
Sorry for the bothering dudes, and thank you dandragonrage.
Have a nice day
