No video signal

I've got a friend whose 8800gt recently appeared to stop working(but when tried in my computer worked fine) as he wasn't getting a video signal, so he swapped it out with a 7900gs I had lying around and things worked as normal up until a few days ago when he stopped receiving a video signal again. He decided to pick up a new motherboard to see if that would fix the issue and it didn't. He also tried different sticks of ram with no luck. Any ideas on what could be plaguing his computer.

His hardware:
e6600
8800gt
4gb ram
GA-EP43-UD3L
1kw pcp&c
300gb hdd

Did you try a different monitor?
Uninstall/reinstall drivers?

He tried a different monitor with no success, and he installed new drivers with the installation of the 7900gs. He hasn't had a chance to try a driver reinstall since the two cards he has on hand aren't giving him video.

Follow the Basic Troubleshooting sticky on what to do when the PC doesn't POST.
