AMD Athlon X2 4800+
Asus A8N-SLI
1 Gig of DDR400
1 74GB Raptor and a Seagate 120GB IDE HD
eVGA 7950GT
Win XP Home
Recently my computer has stopped displaying anything on bootup and hangs there, no beeps or anything.
Before this all happened I first had BSOD on startup one day, I reset the computer and it worked fine. Next day I boot it up and it says that NTOSKRNL.EXE is corrupt and needs windows to be reinstalled, I reset the computer again and now it wont display anything or make any beeps. I took the computer apart and tested each piece of ram, took out the hard drives, just tried to see if it would atleast display the POST, nothing worked. Then I decided to pull the CMOS battery and let the bios settings reset. It worked fine for a day. Today its doing the same stuff again but reseting the CMOS battery isnt helping.
Anyone know what could be causing this?
Also, If I disconnect the powersupply's cable from the computer, Why wont the computer turn on for like 5-10 minutes?
