NISPOM and SAMBA

Anyone here have experience with implementing the new NISPOM and integrating a SAMBA (Solaris 9) server into the LAN after that? Have one that worked before NISPOM implementation now it just give access denined errors (well windows is giving them due to encryption requirements i think) when you try and access the shared resource.
