Ok, what temperatures are you guys seeing on your "case" sensor on either Abit EQ or MBM5? Mine reports 32-34 C usually, up to 40C if I crank the voltage on the CPU up and Prime. But, that sensor is located between my DDR and my CPU, and in my case tucks nicely behind my hard drives :mad: So I am not sure how bad of a temperature it is, and how hot it really is getting in my case. I know it's fairly warm as I don't have the best airflow, but I want to compare to other people.

Please post your temps and what cooling you have..
 
40 C on the mobo, with five good 80mm fans. I wouldn't worry too much, dude.

EDIT: Oh yeah, under load too.
 
i use abit hardware doctor (v1.3, 1.6 gives me bit higher cpu voltage, etc)..
anyway my temps are around 28C for chipset n 44C for cpu at 2.2ghz @ 1.55v.. using stock amd hsf.
 
mine's either really off or i have super excellent case air flow(both excellent possibilites; 5 coolermaster rifle bearing case fans) but it normally reads around 22-23C in MBM @ idle and around 26C max ive ever seen it even while getting crazy with the mobile barton temps =p
 
30C as a max, and that is when it is like 95 degrees F out and maybe high 80's in here + gaming. I was under the impression that my airflow wasn't really great, but I guess it isn't that bad either. Right now it is 24C, and as an average it is probably ~27C. I have two 80mm intake and two 80mm exhaust.

got 2 intake, 2 exhaust, 1 on vidcard going in, and dual in PSU going out.
 
ok this is the accurate temp recorded about two weeks ago..
AQYHA 0414, 2.2@1.55v
26c, 41c idel, 25c ambient, case open
30c, 44c idel, 25c ambient, case shut

ambient temp and air-flow in case makes big diff to the overall temps.
 
AMD XP 2500+ @ 2.2GHz 1.62v

It's gotta be partially my CPU warming up the air then, at least part of it. My CPU runs 50+ *C. Hmm.. those of you with CPUs <45c are running much cooler. Those hard drives running right by the sensor must not help either, heh.
 
My case temp is usually between teh 26-29C range under load, with a CPU temp of about 43-45C under full load. Granted, thats all on water, so I'm sure that I would be getting different results than you. I also have 3 lower-rpm 120mm intake fans on the case too, with my big 120 blowing through my radiator out the back.
 
FYI, there was a bios update out that fixed the reported temps. I guess the abit boards were reporting temps 10 degrees too low. So you might want to make sure you have the latest bios.

im pretty sure that you are right, and that it was reporting temps too high
 
my CPU runs at about 48c full load and my case temp reports about 30c.
 
CPU: 38(idle) - 46(full load)
System: 29(idle) - 32(full load)

I think the 5 x 80mm Blue Led Coolermaster fans help a bit. =]
