So I have been a very loyal newegg customer since the year 2001. In that time I Have placed several orders per year every year & in total before this month RMA's exactly 2 items & both were less then 20 bucks.. However here is my story of the 1st Motherboard I have ever had the displeasure of RMA'ing
03/25 - Place order for Zotac g43 motherboard
03/30 - Receive motherboard to find that the socket protector was not on the socket & there was a bent pin. Took a bunch of pictures of it. Then install the CPU & Find that it works as the pin is only every so slightly off. 3 hours later when I went to update the bios.. Blammo a black screen & its toast.. Called newegg & They agreed to refund the board with no restocking fee since I have been such a great customer & I Then ordered a replacement motherboard CPU & Memory (went to a Core i3 setup so I could use a brand other then zotac since this wasn't the 1st go around that I wasn't happy with from them).
04/02 - Newegg receives the replacement board back (I got the email to confirm)
04/09 - I Get an email saying that I damaged the board by improperly installing the CPU. I promptly call newegg about this & am reassured that I would be getting a refund within 3-5 days since they were informed of the pin situation. Newegg is able to stop the package from shipping back to me.
04/13 - I Get electronic notification that the motherboard is being shipped back to me.. again. I Get on the phone, again. Newegg apologizes about this. Again & this time the board has already shipped & they must recall it & receive it back before they issue a refund.
04/19 - Newegg receives the package back in there warehouse.
04/25 - since I hadn't heard anything from newegg I decided to give them a call. They apologize again & state that it will for sure be taken care of this time & they will have a refund sent right away that should show on my MasterCard within 3 - 5 business days.
04/28 - I wake up & check my email & what do I find.. God damn mother fucking shipping information for the motherboard they are shipping to me for a 3rd fucking time since this RMA process began. I Got on the phone with them & spoke to someone from there escalations dept. I Was assured that they would send through for the refund now & not make me wait for them to recall the package again. As I Was just typing the word again in at the end of the previous sentence I got another email.. this time though its hand typed & not system generated saying that the refund has been issued & The package has been recalled.
I Sure hope they get it right this time as I have had my fill & I am ready to take my business elsewhere. Especially since I have another order thats been sitting in my cart but I am waiting till I receive funds back before placing (for another motherboard & 2 different zsalman coolers)
