It's typical for this to happen around the holidays for newegg. It sucks, but if you have an option for "rush" processing i'd definitely take advantage of it. It's probably worth the cost at this time of year, whereas during normal times of year you don't really have to use it.

I was lucky and able to snag two cards from newegg right at the start of the bitcoin bug a few weeks ago.

XFX 280x - comes with BF4 (already redeemed and sold it on the forum) price i paid? $309 with free shipping. Sold off BF4 for 30 bucks so the card only cost me 279.

I also snagged this 7970 for $239 free shipping - refurbished powercolor (yes I know they are a 3rd rate brand, but whatever it was cheap)

Brings my total mining cards to 6 - and will stop at that. two 290s, three 7970s, and one 280x. should be pullign about 4.2Mhash in Litecoin.

holding all my coins though for the next spike since everything took a beating the past 2 days. I look at it this way it's freezing here in N. Texas - and I get to run these puppies as heaters that actually PAY me, so it's win/win.

And yes -- newegg spent quite a bit of time packaging my recent orders (something like 3 days) I had free shop runner 2 day shipping so I didn't really care. Holiday time, gotta expect delays.

Oh, I just have to add too, that XFX 280x is actually VERY well built, and whoever was designing the cooler for this thing is a pretty awesome dude. Even at 100% fan speed it's pretty quiet, and it just has a way more quality feel to it than past XFX cards I've had. I opened the box and was just kinda admiring it for a few because I wasn't expecting something THAT nicely built by XFX

Yay still dont have my Asus 280x i ordered on the 5th. should have spent more on shipping and rush delivery. Its been in the dfw area since friday with tracking showing in transit for 2 of those days to my neighborhood in dallas...

But at least i only paid 319 for my card. Now you wont find one under $400.

How do you like the XFX 280x's? I had two on backorder for MSRP that I cancelled yesterday because I was worried about the lack of VRM cooling.
