Newegg getting TOO big???

just got Abit AV8 and 3000+ 939pin cpu today
v1.1 bios and i know they have been shipping new ones for a long time

i have a feeling newegg has too much in stock of older mobo's with the bios that dont' work

rmaing board..think i might try MSI neo next cuz i've heard a lot of people get a new bios on it
however, if they send me a wrong bios again i'm gonna flip and get my money back along with a 3500+ cpu so i don't have this problem again

/rude newegg

yes newegg is VERY big, 3 warehouses and all, youa sked some stupid questions. if you shop there frequently as i do (almost 6000$ with them annually) you will know that they are a good company with all the problems that come with it. obviously some reps may be dumb, or rude, or misinformed...etc. every company comes with that, its a package deal, and obviously when a company expands it gets more prevalent, put it this way- you're not ordering from a company run by 5 people who dont speak english in a small office building somewhere in california.

i recently placed an order with newegg that shipped 4 DAYS LATE! and what do i get for this screw up on their part? i get a phone call from the manager, saying sorry. i also get a 25$ coupon on anything in the store, and a personal email from the supervisor saying sorry, and that he upgraded my package to next day sir. ALL WITHOUT ME SAYING A SINGLE THING.

newegg is still a great company, they try their best, granted they may price gouge, just as you would if you owned lets say the only 5 XT PE's in the world, im sure you wouldnt charge MSRP, reguardless of your past history.

Well they lost out on my order (over $600) because they would not look on a box or even try. For $20 more, Monarchcomputers.com got my order, is going to put it together, test it, upgrade the BIOS to current, and they are going to throw in Farcry and 4 months of Napster downloading for free (not that I will really use it, but I didn't own Farcry).

That was on the following items:
Asus A8V Deluxe (v. 2.0) K8T800 No-WiFi/A
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 512K 90nm (939)
Corsair 3200 - 512 MB DDR400 XMS
Western Digital 36 GB 8MB 360GD Raptor SATA 10K RPM (WD360GD)
NEC ND-3500A/GNB 16X Dual Layer DVD±RW (Black)

All for $629.

Sorry Newegg

sorry buddy, but the bios is NOT written on the board or the box. the BOARD (not BIOS)revision is written on teh board, but not the BIOS. to find out whta bios it has, you have to open the box, set up a computer, and get it to post.

and honestly, if you think a phone rep is going to drive cross states to get to your seperate parts( yes they do ship different parts from different warehouses) and put them together to see if it posts with the most recent bios, you're loony.

....as the original poster seems to have the situation under control, let's call this one "Case Closed". Thanks - B.B.S.
