Hey all, this is my first attempt at a build. I've asked some friends for advice and here's what I have so far:

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Moderate gaming (SC2, Diablo 3, etc) as well as HD movie viewing and general use
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
$1000 before tax and shipping
3) Where do you live?
Michigan
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. Please be very specific.
I need just about everything. My last computer was a laptop.
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
Have an Eclipse II keyboard and thats about it.
6) Will you be overclocking?
Probably not
7) What size monitor do you have and/or plan to have?
24"
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
Ordering the parts tomorrow
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? etc.
Nothing crazy
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? 32bit or 64bit?
Windows 7 32 bit

Here's what I'm thinking:
$199 - Intel Core i5-750 Lynnfield 2.66GHz 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Processor
$155 - GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD3P Intel P55 Core i5/i7 Socket 1156 2200 MHz PC3-17600 (DDR3-2200) ATX Motherboard Retail
$160 -XFX HD-577X-ZNFC Radeon HD 5770 (Juniper XT) 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
$70 - Antec NEO ECO 620C 620W Continuous Power ATX12V v2.3 / EPS12V 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply
$105 - G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL9D-4GBRL
$65 - SEAGATE ST3750528AS Barracuda 750GB SATA 3.0Gb/s 7200 RPM 32MB Buffer Hard Drive Bulk
$55 - NZXT BETA EVO Classic Series CS-NT-BETA-EVO Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
$27 - Sony Optiarc Black 24X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 12X DVD+R DL 24X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 12X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache SATA DVD/CD Rewritable Drive - OEM

I'm open to feedback/suggestions. Advice on a decent monitor would be great. Thanks for your help guys, I really appreciate it!

Swap out the CPU, mobo, RAM, and HDD with these instead:
$290 - AMD Phenom II X6 1055T & G.Skill Ripjaws 2x2GB DDR3 1600 combo deal
$140 - Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H (
$90 - Samsung Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive
---
Total: $520

The Samsung F3 1TB is significantly faster than the Seagate 7200.12 500GB drive. The AMD Phenom II X6 1055T CPU is slightly faster than the Core i5 750 CPU. Finally the mobo has more SATA 6Gb/s ports.
