New TV soon...I can get these locally for good prices...

You should try to talk to a local a/v company and see if they will give you a deal on the TV. 3k may be pushing it but <4k should be possible, depends on how much the company wants to make.
 
unfortunately ther aren't any stores within at least 2 hours of me that carry HP's. As it stands now, The salesman quoted me about $3500 AFTER taxes right now for the 52628. He told to wait though if I could b/c after CES hits and closer to Feb when the superbowl is the price should dip lower than that. The nice thing was I didn't have to haggle much with him on it. They had the 628 marked $200 more than the 627, when on AVSForums and other sources on the internet the dealer cost is as little as $50. So I got him to split the difference and make it $100 and knock off almost $400 for paying cash. Much easier than buying a car ;)

Although.,...I've never haggled for a TV before, but seeing as they knocked off $500 without much effort I suppose they have some room to play with in the "profit" area.
