If a design works, why change it? The TRUE really hasn't ever been decisively beaten by any other heatsink design. At best a few others match it.
 
Talking about big, the cyclone is massive! Looks like it'll cover half the motherboard!
 
Lets hope the real world models are that polished on the base. If there's one consistent complaint about Thermalright, its their horrible contact surfaces compared to say.. Scythe.
 
The Cyclone looks like Thermaltake's SpinQ or w/e it's called, but bigger still. The rest just look like TRUE derivatives, with the same number of heatpipes or less. We need a slightly bigger TRUE with even more heatpipes! Edit: Actually, that's probably where they were going w/that circular design... Hmm.
 
Eh, I'm not so impressed until I see some testing results. Not sure if Thermalright wants to be putting out many more HSF models; if these aren't up to par, they'll be diluting their brand.

What I'd like to see is some investment like Corsair has done and leverage their brand to introduce quality cases or something. Not the shitty prototype stuff, but real end-user research driven parts.
 
I had been wondering when these were going to be coming out since I get that e-mail from TR. They look interesting, but I am a bit doubtful how much better they will be over my lapped TRUE. The Arrow-14 looks nice, the Venomous X looks like a TRUE with a "V" cut in it, but they said there is a 2nd gen TRUE coming out also, so that confuses me a bit. the Cyclone looks massive, but from what they said it has a loud ass fan, and with the type it uses I don't see it helping with over all case air flow either. *shrugs* we shall see.
 
Diluting their brand how? They've had one flagship heatsink for like the last two years, that's a long ass time in this industry... It's about time they came out w/something new. The TRUE's little brother (the Ultima-90) hasn't fared as well against cheaper/better heatsinks either (like the Xigma S1238, Zerotherm NV120, etc.).

Oh and did anyone bother to click/read the link? It looks like the Venomous is exactly what someone commented on, a slightly modified TRUE w/a mirror finish on the base... Meanwhile, besides the Cyclone, the other two coolers in the pics are cheaper/smaller versions of existing stuff. Although I don't know to whom they'd market a "cheaper" IFX-4 (the Arrow), heh, and the MUX-120 is redundant unless it's cheaper for them to make than the Ultima-90 and performs the same or better (it's just a TRUE w/less heatpipes).

The most interesting bit is this:

"Except from the products een above we found out that there is a new version of Ultra 120 eXtreme coming. eXtreme2 will have the same base design but more heatpipes, copper base and perhaps even flat contact surface. Today all are a bit convex since also processors are shaped like so. Test with the new eXtreme2 model is happening as we speak inside Thermalright's lab."

More heatpipes and a copper base, now we're talking! :p

I'm just worried that TR is setting themselves up for failure. The Ultima-90 is still a great solution for situations that can't hold the full tower heatsinks; its not surprising that full tower designs (and only recently, I might add) can beat it. It still got excellent reviews.

TR has top-tier air coolers in the full tower (TRUE), small tower (Ultima-90), and low-airflow/passive (HR-01 Plus) arenas. I'd hate to see them pump out a few crappy designs.
 
I doubt they'll actually come out w/all those different models anyway, just doesn't seem like TR... They've leaked concepts/prototypes in the past but their product line never expands that much in one fell swoop. Probably gauging what garnered the most attention at Computex.
