new SSD = losing all my programs on HDD?

Hey guys. I have been using the traditional HDD since the beginning of time and is thinking abut using an SSD. I thought about installing windows and mybe a game or on it.

the question is......
will i still be able to use all the programs that i installed on the current HHD? cause i have like 100 games on here i would hate to reinstall it all

Are you reinstalling windows on the SSD or cloning the HDD over to the SSD, if you are reinstalling windows then you probably need to reinstall many of the programs that have stuff in random places across the drive and the registry. Once you install on the SSD you can reinstall the programs and use symlinks to put stuff on the HDD.

the SSD is worth it!

I agree. Solid state drives are VERY much worth any hassle you may encounter with reinstalling apps.
 
Will be hit and miss, some programs may work fine, others you may need to reinstall. Depends how heavily they rely on putting files in obscure places, and the registry.
 
hmmm....okay so i can still access files in the HDD after i install and boot from SSD?

You think there's something magical about an SSD? LOL!

They are just another hard drive like you've been using since the beginning of time. :)
