I couldn't wait for my Swiftech 665 pump to come in so I decided to hook up my Hydor L30 and start up my WC system for a quick component/leak test.

I decided to pick up a good radiator/pump before I went for my sexy block so in the mean time, an old Maze 4 478 block will be my test buddy for the next month until I know I'm ready to eat my main rig.

I'm not doing anything wrong am I?

Please load up some temp monitoring software and orthos. I would dearly love to see a comparison of the current system to the new one when you get it done. Bench the new system before you make any changes to your bios setttings/try for more OC.

The er "stuff" around the rad barbs is interesting but if it does not leak it does not leak and that all there is to that :)

LOL yeah its plumbers tape around that. It was leaking a bit so I tightened the barbs and wrapped it around just in case. No leaks anymore :D

After the leak test I'll go ahead and record temps between this and the Swiftech 665 pump.

sorry if this is a stupid question, but, um, where are your hard drives cd drives and psu? is the case that big that it can fit a mcr 220 and above that drives?

I haven't setup the drives yet but yeah they will be in the cage up top. It supports up to 4 devices and I only need space for three so removing the two lower cages to make room for the MCR220 was fine.

do you know if it matters on that res. which one is inlet or outlet?

like the man said, I haven looked at any documents or anything but if you reversed them with the outlet above the inlet you would tend to suck bubbles back into the loop more. The way it is the bubbles, which are heading up, have more of a chance to get to the top and dissipate while you suck in mainly bubble free water from below. Actually the inlet and outlet are a little close for my taste in that res but its a size compromise and eventually the bubbles will all go.
