Got my new desk, speakers and wheel in, looks all nifty and such.

Liking my new z680's a heck of a lot better than some old Klipsch ProMedia GMX 5.1's I used to have, seems a lot better in tone quality and a lot more focused for correct signal with bass tones as well. Just very rich sounding. Steering wheel fits great and reacts awesome...

All to come and think, I used to be an Anti-Logitech n00b.

:)

Logic is the shit, glad you know it now.

Loom those wires or something, thats fire hazard deluxe

Id try mounting those speakers for better sound, you cant get the full surround experience with them that close.

Nice peripherals though.

Yeah, back in the day however I totally hated Logitech mice, didn't like a lot of things they did come out with. Lately (past year/two) it's just been great stuff coming out, good looks and quality.

**EDIT: As far as mounting goes I most likely will be doing that, just gotta check first when I got the time as well buy new speaker cables.

Oy. The Klipsch ProMedia GMX line is such trash...

If you're going to get Klipsch, either get ProMedia (not GMX!) or get their home theatre-ish products. And in home theatre, I don't really recommend Klipsch anyway. (They're not bad, they're just not my first choice.)

Nice arrangement—get some velcro strips, they're great for tidying up cables. :)

Had the right price on the GMX's however, free.

That was with an extra sub, so I couldn't complain for a "budget" sound system. Finally decided to buy these, got an Audigy 2 ZS Platnium on the way from newegg.com

As far cabling goes, gone to get some of that velcro tomorrow actually. Just hadn't had time, wanted to get everything up and running before I decided to work on organization. Hopefully got my time to re-route cables, etc.

How's that wheel? What's the name of it? I've been looking for a wheel with a "shifter" on it.

Great looking setup :D

Very nice setup, but as stated, you need to arrange those cables better, man. It's a deathtrap waiting to happen. And when all that money is hosed, you won't be so enthusiastic.

Albertson's, eh? We're technically brothers under the same communist regime. I have worked for OscoDrug for 4 years, which is the midwest version of Albertson's or Sav-On, if you know the different franchises of the company.

Down with this company!!!

Forgot to say this. Great looking system there. Could you post your specs? :)

I hope you don't have any pets, because if they get caught in those wires back there they are in for a hanging :D .

I have the same wheel and I love it. Nice setup besides the mess of wires.

I hate late replies and bumps, but here goes nothing.

Lian-Li PC61
Abit IC7-MAX3
Pentium 4 3.0GHz w/HT (800MHz) - My 3.2 burned out.
ATi RADEON 9800XT (256MB)
1024MB PC3500 Corsair XMS Series
Western Digital 120GB + 40GB 7200RPM/8MB Cache
Hercules Fortissimo 7.1
XP Pro

Tomorrow my Audigy 2 ZS Platnium should be arriving, kind've away to see how good it works out to be. Will possibly be mounting my speakers up on the ceiling soon.

Thanks for concern, luckily no pets. :)

Nice to see that you have one of those "Logitech setups" :D

I too have pretty much all Logitech myself. Had a logitech keyboard which still works fine, but I replaced that for a laptop style keyboard (Viewsonic Slim Keyboard) and kept it as a backup.

As with everybody else's opinion, clean up those wires :D

While I admit the cables strewn around are not pretty to look at, exactly how are they a safety hazard? What is he going to trip and fall on them while he is running from impending doom undernearth his desk?

that is one OD (over dosed) ass setup. that shit is hott. i wish i that could be mine. i have the same keyborad, but mine is white. and without the mice. i got a microsoft optical.

I have a glass desk also. It is a real chore trying to get all the wires to look good. Pretty cool stuff you have there.

I would suggest moving that center speaker to above the monitor if it's possible.

Enjoy your stuff, I know I would :)
