New SB-E Won't Boot with Full Memory

Can't figure out the issue. If I populate 6 DIMMs (24GB), then the system will boot. But I add the last two and the system does't post. When this happens, the motherboard shows a "b7" error. I tried increasing the system agent (memory controller) voltage to 1.1V, reducing memory settings to 1333MHz 10-10-10-28 and increasing memory voltage to 1.55V but nothing helps. Any ideas?

System:
3930K (stock speeds)
Intel DX79SI (newest BIOS)
8x4GB Corsair 1600MHz
Corsair HX750
 
Apparently you're not the only person to have that issue with that motherboard if this Newegg review is correct:
Memory slots 5 & 6 did not work on this thing out of the box. Couldnt figure this out without 4 or 5 hours of experimentation due to it not being able to post long enough to give an audible alarm and port 80 giving me what looked like "67" but could have been "b7". After spending another 2 hours explaining to intel what I had done to test, their response was that I couldn't definitively determine if it was the mobo but that it could be the power supply (which was bench tested) or the memory mananger on the 3930k; who has multiple 3930ks lying about to throw into a processor slot to test if amemory manager is bad? I was on the wait list for a month to get the one I have.

So maybe try a different motherboard or CPU?
 
What model is your memory?
I see some 4gb corsair 1600 as 1.65 and some at 1.5.
Maybe 1.55 isnt enough for 8 sticks?
 
They're the Corsair Vengeance 1600 MHz (CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9B) which are rated for 1.5V. You think I should try even higher voltage? Is that safe?

Hopefully somebody that knows the max voltage will chime in, but I have read 1.65v for overclocking purposes, so I wouldnt go any higher then that.
 
Wouldn't it be the voltage for the memory controller that would need to be upped for higher number of ram sticks? From what I've read that's called VSA on sandy bridge, and the max safe is 1.2v on air.
