Are you planning to run those HDDs in a RAID array or do you just want two drives? You have the budget to get an SSD.
What kind of editing/rendering do you plan on doing? What programs will you be using?

Alternatively we will probably recommend you some parts after this first week of October, simply because the new Newegg combo deals should be coming out for October around then. Most of our builds use those combo deals to save additional money up front.

I just wanted one Drive to deicate for game installs and saving updates and mods, my wow folder alone right now is just over 30gigs alone. Wouldent mind going SSD if I can stretch it

Ok, when are you planning on getting that 3rd monitor? And to reiterate: You want to use Eyefinity or Surround to use all three monitors for a single game?

I'm asking again as an Eyefinity/Surround setup will be different from a single monitor gaming setup.

Hope to have the 3rd monitor by this Xmas,I want Eyefinity, Ill be gaming on 1 screen for the most part, however every now and then ill use all 3.


HDD for fraps in not in the budget, ill worry about that later.

Well then, we'll have to wait a few more day for Newegg's October combo deals to sort out and come up. For some reason, the combo deals from the previous month tend to bleed into the next month yet will sometimes come up as expired. So we usually wait a few days to a week or two for all of the previous month's combo deals to fully expire.

$280 for that card isn't bad. Just make sure to get a copy of the reciept for warranty purposes.

The GTX 570 can only support two monitors on its own, so you'll need the second card for the third monitor. However, that second video card eats up your remaining budget, and I don't know which external HDD you had in mind.

If you really need to keep things under $1500, the best things to "cut" are the SSD (omit it entirely, for the time being) and the RAM (go with one 2x4GB kit instead of two).

If you change your mind about overclocking, the cost to do so (right now) would be about $40 more. It's as simple as replacing the "plain" i7-2600 for the i7-2600K and adding the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus to the order.

Well I decided to just got with 2 monitors, so the 2nd video card is no longer needed then.
 
Well then, omit the second card and you're back in business.

I have some questions about the external drive:

Do you prefer to build your own enclosure?

How do you plan on connecting it to your computer?

How much space do you plan on using right away?
