Not sure what case to go for.

I want very good air flow, as I've never use water cooling and don't plan to.

My price range is around $80-120.

Windows are nice but aren't needed.

Any ideas? I'm not really sure what is important to look for in a case anymore.

How good is the P180 and P182 vs the coolmaster cases?

I'm willing to spend up to 140 on a case, it's one thing I want quality out of.

Mainly wondering which will keep everything the coolest and have enough space for everything.

The CM cases will keep your PC cooler than the P182. But the P182 will be a bit more quieter and is better constructed than the CM cases.
 
I love my P182. Excellent Cooling and Quite. Invest in Quality fans like Sythe S-Flex. I have 6 in mine P182

The only difference is color. Most P180 and P180B cases have been upgraded with P182 features (better cablemanagement and airflow). However there are probably a few stores out there with the older P180 case that doesn't have the improvements that P182 case has. So get the P182 if you want to know 100% for sure that you're getting the newer case.
 
The Antec 900 does cool better than the P182. But it's not as quiet as the P182. IMO, the Antec 900 should not cost more than $80. It's cooling ability and quality is like the two Coolermaster Cases I recommended earlier. Yet those CM cases are significantly cheaper. But since at Fry's its now at $70, it's a decent choice then. However, do note that cable management is troublesome with the Antec 900.

Hrmm, kinda bummed the PSU recommended isn't modular or w/e it is.

Still have trouble deciding on a case.

Between the P182 and the 900, also the CM cases you linked. so basically haven't gone far.
 
I would fully recommend one of the CM cases. Rocked an RC690 and it cooled tons better than my Lian Li.

I'd go with the CM or the P182. The 690 is a better case than the 900 for the same money. The P182 is better constructed than both others and will be a lot quieter, but its cooling ability will be slightly less. It's purely down to personal preference.
 
Overall I'd like a P182, but I'm having a hard time justifying the $130 price vs the $70 price on the CM690.

Idk what the Lian LI case is either, just heard that they are overpriced usually. I could be wrong though.
 
i love my P182 because of the cable management and space inside. ALso I love how there isn't a ton of external fan. I had a ANtec 900 and it collected so much dust and stuff that cleaning it out made it hard. With the Antec P182 there is less opening for the dust and other stuff to enter the case.

Sounds like the Antec 900 is good cooling but poor cable management and collects dust.
 
If I were to get the CM690, should I replace any of the fans?

If so which fans?

Also, how many spots are there for extra fans not including the 3 that come in it?
 
I did a little research and the Thermaltake M9 seems very good. And on a budget, maybe Coolermaster Elite 330 or even the cheaper Gigabyte GZ-X3 (darn cheap).

I currently have a Coolermaster Centurion 5 and Silverstone LC20.

I wish anyone could comment about the HD audio connectors on the first 3 I mentioned on an AMD platform. I've never used them so I wouldn't mind knowing if they're a problem or not.

Antec 900 is great. ITs pretty quiet but i have my fans all on medium. Cable management, as the guy said before, is a bit of a hassle but its a quality case. And for 70$! Cant beat that price.
