Hello,
I recently built a new pc. I'm having trouble with it freezing on initial startup. It only happens within the first 5 minutes, usually shorter than 30 seconds after it loads windows. Let me explain further. If the computer has sat over night, the first power up once I get to my desktop, it will freeze. I will have to reboot several times (4-5), and finally it will run the rest of the day without freezing.
I am using an ssd, could that be my problem? Are there any other diagnostic tools I could take advantage of short of swapping parts to troubleshoot? I've been out of the pc world for a while. I ran memtest, and found no issues.
Windows 7
Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz
ASUS HD7770-2GD5
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
samsung 120gb ssd
MSI B75A-G43
750 watt psu
Thanks for the input
