Hey guys havent posted in a while but mom needs a rig and im way to busy with work projects to even have 5 min to my life

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing?
general computing.. facebook paying bills, some games... i.e. facebook games.. bejewled majong

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included? any.. but want to keep it as low as possible

3) Which country do you live in?
middletown ct
.
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget?

everything. lol quite literally.. minus a video card as the on board will problably do fine.. if anyonae has seen an amazing deal on anything prebuild hp, gateway, ibuypower crap.. plz let me know

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? n/a

6) Will you be overclocking?
not this build

7) What is the max resolution of your monitor?
current monitor she has i believe is either 20 or 22in this is from memory..

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
apparently she needed it yesterday

9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? can care less.. would love to have something atleast sandy bridge or newer so it lasts as long as possible.. i-3 is problably all she needs i-5 would be overkill but if theres a great deal on one..

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS?
I have keys for win7 64bit.. but dunno were. im sure i can find the disks-keys if someone finds a cheap cheap build it myself.. but prebuilt would be great as taking the time to build it right now would be extremelly hard..

THANKS alot in advance... il check tonite-tomorrow *

Yeah most likely for minimal needs like that a prebuilt system is going to do just fine and you can probably get it cheaper (including stuff like the OS). Even consider a laptop. The only real benefit of the desktop is you can get more performance for less money, but really, performance doesn't matter here and a cheap laptop may be more useful to your mom.

Ya I tried to say get a laptop with the way the market it is right now.. but she feels more comfortable with a old school tower right now

In my mom's similar case, she got a laptop... she's had it for 2 years and has never even put the battery in it! Haha

$46 NZXT Source 210
$45 ($25 after MIR) Corsair CX430
$16 Samsung CD/DVD burner
$62 ASRock B75 mobo
$24 G.Skill 2x2GB DDR3 1333 (having two sticks = get benefit of dual channel)
CPU : $??? As much as you feel like paying... Starts at $50 and +$5 will keep getting you increases in speed.
Only thing left is to figure out if you want just a hard drive, or SSD+HD, or just an SSD. If storage space isn't a concern, I'd go with an SSD. Again, depends on needs & budget.
TOTAL shipped not including CPU and HD/SSD = $193 (not including MIR).... $243 if you at least go with an Intel G540.

And hey, if you're up for it, can buy used parts too. Not sure if I can pimp my For Sale thread here or not but here it is. Couple generations old but with an SSD it should be more than perky enough to get the tasks she needs done, and should save you (her?) some coin. Ask about different combo deals if you have any interest.
