hey all, tell me what you guys think of this OC for my x2
OC.jpg

i had my side panel off about 1/2 way (there is a side fan that is holding me back from complete removal) when i ran this...the room temp was pretty darn cool (my window was fully open and it was night here in fremont and my room fan was at full) but i can't give an exact reading
first of all, how are the temps on this baby? max temp i got was 66C on the pwm but after i put in all the cooling i could (opened window, side panel, and turned on fan) it went down to about 59C...the cpu tmep never goes above 50C with the panel open, however, i am still unsure if these temps would be ok...the main cpu intensive thing i do with this rig is just playing cs 1.6 and maybe running a few virus scans/ad aware scans in the back
second, let me just say that this ram is great, runs ddr580 at 3-3-3-8 with 2.7v in bios! it defaulted 2.6v in smartguardian when it was at auto and runs at 2.7v now...also, according to my probe, the temps are about 45C while i am priming
any and all input and thoughts are appreciated!!!

Nice OC. What are you planning on running for your 24/7 speed/voltage?

at first, i was running at 260x10 with the ram at 260, 2.5-2-3-10 and 2.5von the ram and 1.475v on the cpu in bios (1.525 is what it is at right now) if i can get this stable, im probably going to be running this
what do u guys think? this OC or running at 260x10 with 2.5-2-3-10?

It'll get a lot hotter once you close the case up ;). Might be low-mid 50's. I've found that 1.4-1.425V gives the X2's a pretty normal temp (mine runs 40C w/100% load). I'd see what you can get at that voltage. Might only be 2.5Ghz, but your CPU will run a lot cooler and you'll be able to keep your OC come summer time  .

well, wen i was running at 260x10, the thing never went above 39C full load when i was playing cs 1.6 :p im pretty sure it was about 44C when i was dual priming at 1.475v in my bios and at 260x10...summer is still a bit away and i might move over to water...btw, im running an si-120 with a coolermaster LED fan taht is rated for 44cfm

That's a pretty good OC for a 3800+, mine would only do maybe 2.55Ghz with 1.5V+ (of course, I sold it to a guy who got it to 2.8Ghz with water). The SI-120 is one of the best you can get, so you should be fine.
