So is BF:BC2!![]()
ya it's out... i just wrote about my experience with it: http://www.overclockersclub.com/news/26360/
Just bought it..if I have to pick the "new map pack only" option to be able to play them..I am going to be pissed.
Blame Acti not IW. They decide the pricing afaik. If there is similar pricing on PC I will completely forget about that game and stay exclusive to BC2 where I don't have to pay for shit like that. Thanks for showing IW/Activision that they can walk all over us. 15 dollars for 5 maps, half of them already released on MW? Lol.
Besides, I can think of a lot of things that I can buy with $15 that won't last nearly as long or bring me near as much enjoyment as 5 maps on a FPS video game.
So, how is the hackers situation, i still refuse to buy this game...
To all that have to complain about paying for a map pack, should the devlopers and designers not get paid for their work? they did not have to release these, as well as you do not have to buy them. they are an addition to the game and IMO they should charge for it. If they didn't charge, what would be the point in releasing them? There is no contract in the game that states they have to release additional maps.
since last months patch i havent seen any except for the gamertag hack (where people will have xbox buttons on thier name) but that doesnt affect gameplay, it actually help because you can see the enemy so much easier. but thats on the 360 i have no idea about PS3 or PC.So, how is the hackers situation, i still refuse to buy this game...
oh Fail, you continually come into MW2 telling us how much we suck and how MW2 is the worst game ever. You keep telling us about all the problems with MW2 yet you do not even own the game. i wonder why you even YouTube and read up on a game you blatantly hate? you have no idea about the hacking on the 360, I play every day and have logged about 5 days of game play, i think i have an idea of what’s going on in the game, on the other hand you do not even own the game, so how and why do you try to debate this?I suspect deweatherly will say he's never seen a hacker on MW2 in his life, even though there's plenty of evidence otherwise.
When I saw those videos on youtube of people blatantly walling and aimbot hacking, I decided not to purchase this game.
I still don't have it, I don't think i'll ever buy it, it has too many problems to be enjoyable.
so what happens if you don't buy the map pack? will it divide the players or what?
The COD4 maps should be (at the very least) free to people who own COD4. They are charging for Overgrown twice (it was DLC for the consoles on COD4, I believe. PC got it for free). I haven't seen the CODMW2 versions myself, but I doubt it would have taken much more than minimal effort to port those maps over.
Have the two COD4 maps been changed or tweaked at all to warrant repurchase?
Regardless, it seems apparent that with the way the hacks/exploits still are, and now this flaccid content package, IW has just about given up on the game.
You are aware there are developers out there that release content, especially maps, for free?
So what?
We are not entitled to free shit. If you don't then want it don't buy it. Those that want will buy it. Simple.
Tools should still be provided so the USER can generate free content. It's just a way for them to make more money off the suckers by preventing the modding community from doing anything.
Modding is the reason a lot of games are still alive.

It is so simple, if you think they are over priced.. don't buy the DLC. obviously there is enough people out there will to do it. so why not put make people pay for it, why not pay the developers what they are entitled too? PC players, soon enough everyone including your precious PC games will be charging for things like this. you guys should create a blog, and blog about it. this thread wasn't labeled "MW2 DLC price complaint thread". it is about the quality of the gameplay within the DLC. Furthermore, i do not care what they charge for further DLC, i will pay it. i do not care how you guys feel about it, as i have heard in other threads "people like you are the reason why the game industry is no charging for features like this." i will get more enjoyment out of a map pack for $15 than i would a dinner, 3 drinks at the bar, etc. personally i like IW and activision, they have provided me with some great games. I look forward to future title from them, you can hate them but they are killing everyone else when it comes to FPS in sales, so get use to seeing them as they will be around for a long time.
