My western digital HD box was driving me mad since it started to "forget" my current setup at random times on startup.
It forgot my shared folders and could not find my login details and so on. Now its in the trashcan in several pieces where it belong !

So i was wondering what new device to get for the same setup, so i can watch my movies or listen to music from my pc on the tv in my living room with my cerwin vega speakers.

Im looking for a media/stream box that have usb ports for a keybord and mouse and im using s/pdif for sound connection but
regular inputs are also ok. Then it would be damm sweet if the box had some inbuild browser so i can surf the internet. So im not bound to use apps like netflix or spotify and have several accounts allround differents apps that i dont use or care about.

And it must be 4 k ready

It dosent need to be expensive ;)
But if it has all that i need then i will gladly pay the price.

being 4k ready narrows your choices down some. Nvidia Shield TV checks off all the right boxes.
 
Hmm expensive tho but i had that box in my mind and it seems like you can install a browser on it using some firefox apk file install or chrome apk
