In mobile computing, or here.. not sure.. But anyways..

Started getting the SMART error message that my hard drive is dying, and that I need to backup my data. So I backed everything up, and now I'm in the market for a new laptop HDD. I have a HP dv5220us laptop, where the 1yr warranty just ended. So sad :(

Currently installed is a 120GB 5400RPM seagate drive. I'd like a SATA 3.0 drive that's 160GB+. Spending limit is around $150.00USD

Any recommendations? thanks!

Get a 7200 rpm drive. I upgraded all mine. And "yes", it makes a difference.

Well its an increase in drive performance, of course you will see a difference. ;)

The drives there I see would be a 200gb drive, and that alone is over my price range. I'm thinking of getting more memory for my laptop aswell. :)
