New Gaming PC Build Request

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
PC Gaming (not hardcore), MMORPG’s, FPS. I’d like it to be able to play most games at 1680x1050 res at max settings for the next couple of years on my 22” widescreen monitor.
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
$1000 budget tax and shipping included
3) Where do you live?
I live in California.
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
Motherboard, CPU (prefer a new SandyBridge CPU), RAM (only need 4 realistically but if you think I should get 8 then go ahead), Video Card, CPU cooling.
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.

6) Will you be overclocking?
I’ve never been one to overclock but have always wanted to. If I overclock it will not be major overclocking. The ambience in the room I’m in gets quite warm with my wife’s laptop and my computer in it. We live in a small room.

7) What size monitor do you have and/or plan to have?
I have a 22” Widescreen Samsung SyncMaster 2232BW.
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
Between February and April I’d like to build the machine. I can hold out if new tech will be coming out that I should wait for.
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? etc.
No RAID, Firewire, or USB 3.0 Needed. USB 3.0 is a plus but not a need at the moment, possibly in the next three years. Needs to have support for SLI or Crossfire if that will be good for playing games at 1680x1050.

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
I have a legit reusable Windows 7 x64 Professional Disk and key.
 
Can you narrow down that timeline to a month or sooner? If not, then you're better waiting until April and asking for advice. Most of the hardware recommendations we make today may not be good recommendations a month from now let along 2-3 months from now.

Oh and you're gonna have to replace that PSU as it's simply not good enough for a modern gaming PC these days. In addition, you might be looking at a new case as that case will definitely not hold some of the better video cards out there.
 
Then I am guessing it will be in my best interest to wait until April to post again with a build request. Thank you for letting me know about the PSU and the case. I've been holding out for a new machine for some time now. Still running and AMD X2 6000+ and 4 GB of ddr2 mem, and an ATI Radeon 3870.
