I would like a relatively quiet computer. Nothing crazy, but my current computer is REALLY loud.

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Gaming mainly, I do photography as a hobby so I will be using Photoshop and Lightroom. I will recording gaming from time to time but nothing fancy.

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
$1500 total.

3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
USA, Rochester NY. Microcenter is about 5hour drive.

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
Case, CPU, RAM, PSU, Mobo, GPU, CPU Heat sink.

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
Filco keyboard, G9X mouse, and 22" monitor 1080P. Sennheiser HD595 and Logitech Z-5500 Digital 5.1, 1 Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB

6) Will you be overclocking?
Yes

7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
Currently 22" 1080P. Interested in possibly buying a Korean 27" 1440P monitor.

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
By the end of the month I hope.

9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
USB 3.0 and SLI support I believe.

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
I own Windows 7 64bit Professional.

The parts I picked out for myself are:

Fractal Design R4 $105
EVGA 670 FTW $408 Free Boardlands2 which I was going to buy anyways.
HX650 $125 or $115 after MIR
G.Skill Ares 16gig $85
Noctua NH-D14 $86
Asus Sabertooth + Samsung 830 256gig combo $419 so that is Sabertooth $250, Samsung $199 minus $30 for the combo.
3570K $230

Grand total is $1457.92

Couple of things I am not sure about...

Would a 660ti be good enough for a 1440P 27" monitor? What is I stick with 1080P or 1200P but move up to a 27" or two 24" monitors? I would only be gaming on 1 monitor.
If I do get an 660ti, would a 650psu be enough for SLI and an OC on the CPU? How about 670 SLI?

Depends on what games you intend on playing. If it was me and you can afford to, stick with the 670. 650W PSU will be good enough for either SLI setup plus an OC.

Even if you got that Sabertooth at $230, it's still way more motherboard than you need according to the answer to question #9. Stick with either the ASUS P8Z77-V or ASUS P8Z77-V LK version; it has all the features you need while costing a lot less.

I concur with Skillz's post. There are combo deals for either of the mobos that Skillz listed with the 3570K.

So outside of the Sabertooth Mobo you guys don't see any issue?

Two questions. What 670 do you guys think is better, the EVGA that I have listed that blows the air out the back or something like the Asus 670 with the Fractal R4 and Noctua NH-D14?

Also, what monitor would you guys recommend? I do not need the best of the best but something that is better than this Acer P235HbmidI currently have. Limit would be ~$500.

Although it would be nice to have two monitors....

No real big issue.

Tough call to be honest. On the one hand the Asus should have the better cooling and overclocking performance. But then you'd have to deal with Asus' customer support. eVGA has the far better customer support however.

Check out the Korean/Catleap monitor everyone has been raving about in the Displays forum. Nice little article on it
