New Crossfire Set-up / Cooling

(just put this in general because I don't really know where it belongs)

I just got a Gigabyte HD7950 to add to my Sapphire HD7950 OC for crossfire (I know they're not the best cards for getting the heat out of the case). I'm really liking the performance, needless to say, but I have noticed that my Sapphire is about 10C hotter under load now. I know this is somewhat normal, but I was wondering if a couple well-placed case fans might help get the temps down a bit (Sapphire is running about 76c at heavy load). I have a Corsair Carbide 400r, 2 front intake fans, 1 rear exhaust fan. I have 4 spots for 120mm fans, 2 on the side directly beside the GPUs and 2 above the CPU HSF. Considering what's already there, would it work to just get two good 120mm fans for the side mounts (also should they be exhaust or intake?). For overall case airflow, would adding two 120mm fans for the top mounts work also (again, intake or exhaust).

My idea so far is to have the two on the side as exhaust fans, and the two on top as intake fans, but I'm concerned if this will actually optimize airflow or hamper it. I'm also considering switching my Gigabyte to the top slot because it seems to run cooler even than my Sapphire did when it was alone in the case.

Any advice on the fans to get and how to set up the airflow would be much appreciated. Also, depending on whatever turns out to be my best solution, what's a rough estimate I could expect as far as decreasing the Sapphire's load temp?

That was a great article. It seems like your suggested configuration is my best bet to get my temps down. In regards to fans, what's a good choice as far as noise/cfm. I prefer to get a pair of quiet fans so I don't have to get a fan control.
