i am currently running my old S939 cooler on my PII 560 unlocked to a quad and its not really cutting it with regards to temps when overclocking, currently running at sig settings gets about 57'c under hard load for hours, Ie prime, linx, 3dmarks, etc, but im also running only 2gb of Kingston Value RAM 1333, should I buy the cooler or a 4Gb 1600 2x2 ram kit, I feel the cooler will let me get a bit more out of the cpu and I will be upgrading both parts eventually any way just cant choose whch to do first

heres the cooler i fancy

I would add another 2 gig kit or a single 2 gig stick depending on what you have. The amd chipset memory controllers do not utilize ram that is faster than 1333mhz. That will save you some $ while allow you to use what you have already. Any ram will work as long as its cas 9-9-9-24 @ 1.5v.

As for a cpu cooler I prefer the Coolermaster hyper 212+

Hossdaddy, how does that cooler perform for you??? any more opinions peeps??

24c @ idle, 42c after 2 hours gaming. Oh yeah, I also cannot hear the fan at all.

I concur with hossdaddy's recommendations on both the RAM and HSF: I'm using the same HSF and it's working fine for me.
