hi, im currently working away from home and in about a month ill get home and be on vacation for a few weeks. so i thought i would get a new computer and this time ill be getting a water cooling and the components will be better than what i would usually get. and my plan is to order the computer a few weeks before i get home so i can just go and pick it up when i get home.. but i haven't been able to keep watch on when processors and graphics cards came out and when there will be new ones. so i thought i should get some advice on if i should get components that are out there now or if i should wait cause it would suck to get a new computer that gets outdated ridiculously quickly..

so basically the parts im thinking about getting is a gtx 780 and a i7 4770k, which is the most critical parts that i dont want to get quickly outdated.

should i get those or wait?

thanks

You're going to be on vacation at home? Is that correct?

If so, now is the time to buy. A lot of the newer hardware won't get released until late in the year. No, it's not worth waiting for those newer hardware if you already have the money right now for a new PC.

might have formulated me abit wrong :p ill be back home for good in about a month, but ill take a few weeks off before i start with my old job again.. back home.

but thanks, iv saved a shopping cart with
gtx 780
4770k
4x4gb kingstone beast
asus maximus hero
650w corsair rm psu
some small case mods like wires to the psu
and ofc a water cooling setup from EKWB but that will take some more planning and measuring to make sure the reservoir and stuff will fit. cant imagine that the water cooling will take much power, so i figured that 650w would be enouch, cause the W per $ isnt really good :p

got a 800D that iv been using for a while, but just a waste not putting water cooling in it :p
