New Command & Conquer game for PC!

Heres a preview of the cancelled FPS Tiberium that was suppose to come out a couple years ago. http://pc.ign.com/objects/142/14223963.html Looks like it wasn't going to be realistic but it did look gritty :)

I was really looking forward to that game since I love Renegade. I still play fairly often, anybody that hasn't in a while should pick it up theres still enough people to always find a game. I'm looking forward to the free release of Renegade X (C&C fps mod built on UT3) so hopefully more people will play that but right now theres usually nobody on (suppose to have games on Sundays though).

Best C and C game ever? The original of course and then Generals. Loved Generals.

Never played C&C4 after hearing all the bad reviews, a 30 population cap limit and limited base building is what turned me off. WTF, if EA is going to make another C&C game with this exact same gameplay they can go die in a fire. C&C is all about base building and building a massive army, not some child's play.

I would like them to go back to conventional warfare like Red Alert 1 or even C&C Generals (without the chinese hacker units lol).

I don't actually blame the developers having a stab at experimenting with base-building -Dawn of War II did the same thing and managed to pull it off. The difference was probably due to Relic having the advantage of being able to draw on the source material's RPG elements to round out the experience and compensate for the lack of base-building. The C&C4 developers didn't really know what to do after they removed base-building, so the end result was pretty bad.

It was appluadable that the developers had a go at changing up the formula instead of just slapping up a re-hash of C&C3...it's just unfortunate that the changes were so terrible.

DoW II was just as crappy as C&C4.. mind you the only version of DoW i played was the soulstorm expansion that actually had more then 3 buildings you could build. but then my cousin and i in turn heavily modified it to make the game even better.

DoW2 was pretty good actually. They took a unique route with the RTS genre and made it work. Retribution returns base building to the franchise though.

Soulstorm is the worst game in the entire DoW series. DoWII is much better.

Well if anyone watched the VGA they will know the new game is C&C generals 2 using frostbyte engine 2

I think what drako meant was, that in vain of cawwa doody populism right now.

Renegade was awesome, but not in any way gritty realistic or anything.

Oh wow, just imagine, Call of Duty: C&C
Yep, this basically. I'm sorry I even brought it up. Such a horrid thought! Glad it wasn't the case.

Renegade had some interesting ideas and it didn't feel like a clone of other shooters from the era. That Tiberium FPS linked above looks like a Halo clone. It was probably cancelled because they released the Halo style was on the way out by that point.

Please EA make a good C&C game. Make it like the old ones. No more Bloated 3D textures, I want to be able to see more than 4 units on the screen at once.
