New Catalyst 5.4's

Yea i downloaded the new cats
used em and then when i was playing CS source it keep lagging
Had major performance issues on my Rad 9600..
went back to the 4.12's and its fine now.

I've been using these drivers form their release date, they're working fine in all games. One problem I am having with them; is I can longer enable 8xAA @ 1280,1024 in Doom3. Not that it matters, because I never play that peice of shit game anyway.

I thought that the maximum AA setting you could get out of an ATI card was 6x, oh well. On a happier note, and I don't know if this is the result the latest drivers, but last night I ran timedemo demo1 in doom3 with my X800Pro non-vivo. Game settings 1280x1024 4XAA, 8X AF, ultra settings, v-sync on. Changed the following settings in the drivers, Fast writes set to off, and forced 24bit buffering was disabled. Went from 39fps to 53fps. I'm planning to test this again tonite with the older drivers. But I'm liking this opengl performace right now.

I'm using the 5.4's with my Radeon 7000 on my old rig.

Works good so far with Reader Rabbit and Thomas the Tank Engine.................

had problems with 5.4s right off the bat on my new rig. went to 4.12s and i couldnt get it to display past 4 bits. went to 5.2s and now they're perfect.

the newest omega drivers work great on my x300 mobile and x800xt just fine and dandy :)

Dear buddiez,

I just run some Video Card Stress Test in Counter-strike: Source with my new X850 XT (all clocks are @ default). The driver I am using is Catalyst 5.4.

I got some errors at the first part of the test. Here is the error
hl2_err.jpg

CSS gives those error messages on all video cards now. a couple of patches ago they seemed to have introduced this error. it's not your video card's fault, I've seen it do that on a fx5700, 6600gt, 9800pro, 9600pro.......

Thank for replying me. I think it's the error of 5.4 over the Source because I found no such kinda error before with prev. driver version on my Radeon 9800 Pro. :d

nah i got the error with the 4.12's i installed last night. same goes for the 5.4's i installed today.

i dont seem to have that problem with my desktop in my sig with any drivers...is it related to the 9800 or something? or what
