I'm finally getting a new case to replace my Raid Max case which is pretty well shot.

It took me forever to hunt this down but it's exactly what I want, and I can't find it anywhere else. All the other revisions of the case had this awful blue glass. I really like the look of this. Oh, and if you buy all the last ones before I can buy it tomorrow, I'm going to be ticked! :p

oOoo, that case brings back memories. the only thing that bothered me is the quirky fan placements. it has an 80mm exhaust fan on the back and an 80mm intake fan on the top of the case, i kid you not....

To provide better cooling, i drilled x2 80mm blowholes in the back (intake) and a 120mm blowhole up top (exhaust). this case really isnt the ideal case for airflow (even when its modded), but it sure is elegent. i miss it :(

Most of Cooler Master's original ATC line has been out of production for years now and finding any of 'em is gonna be pretty darn hard, let alone a specific model/color.

Liquid Cooled's mod of it is as classic as the case though! :cool: I hope you're posting pics of the TJ03 if you're doing WC or anything interesting with it.

P.S. Now it seems to be in stock at the very same site you linked us to? :confused:
 
im going to mod the TJ-03 like i modded the ATC-210. ill post pics of what ive done so far with the TJ-03. water cooling stuff is on order right now and ill order the computer hardware once the 7900 is released, so i can compare it with the x1900 and hopefully ill have more choices of NF4 SLI x32 mobos. stay tuned!

man, im so tempted to order 2 of those ATC-210's. Id keep one in the box as a collectors item and possibly rebuild "My Super Clean Water Cooled Dream Machine", or MSCWCDM for short.... :confused:

If your CD/DVD-ROM bezel covers the eject buttons, how do you open them?
 
just push on the area over the buttons. or use right click>eject command in windows explorer
 
Yeah, they're usually flexible enough so that as long as you've got a tiny offset between the bezel and the drive (using anything small as a spacer) you can just push in on a hollow area left by the button and voila.
 
The TJ-03 is such a freaking nice case. Too bad it has 80mm fans and is so expensive. I am really looking forward to your mod, your ATC-210 was amazing.

Are you gonna go with the silver w/ silverstone window? I have never been a fan of external windows (with the window on the outside)
 
Man.. I didn't know this case was still in stock :eek: Praetorian or this case.. hmmm. The nonexistance of front intake fans scare me.
 
well, the TJ-03 has x1 120mm intake, x2 80mm back exhausts, and x1 80mm top exhaust. of course, ill be cutting x2 120mm blowholes ontop for the radiator.

i wont be using Silverstones premade window panel. i also dont like external windows held on by those ugly rivets/bolts. ill be cutting my own window and mounting it internally (like in my old case).
 
I still like the TJ03's classic design better than the TJ07's, 'specially for air cooling. The TJ07 may have larger fans (2x 92mm, 2x 120mm, and 2 more 120mm by the drive cages IIRC) but the placement leaves some serious dead spots and there's an overkill of ventilation in the drive cage areas... It's really well suited for a water-cooling setup though, depending on how you preffer to mount it.

The TJ03's solid look and dual doors are still sexier than the rounded stuff on the TJ06 for my taste though. :D
 
Are those cases at Sundial custom because I do not recognize half those cases ... they look like they were moded in some fashion
 
Which in specific? They all look like standard Antec, CM, Lian Li, and Silverstone models to me... Granted CM has a good number of new models and a couple aren't instantly recognizable but most are pretty standard (or old standbys).

They're very old models, the internals are pretty much the same as the current Praetorian (or any Praetorian/Wavemaster), in design anyway... Many believe they were somewhat better constructed overall.

The first three are pretty much variations on the same case being discussed on this thread, the last one isn't fully aluminum (steel frame) and I don't recognize it very well... Prolly some obscure model that came out right before the ATC line got phased out.

The prices are indeed very reasonable though, I guess Sundial found a decent stockpile of them.
 
Hi all, I'm new here but I've been reading these threads for a while and finding this thread made me want sign-up. Hardocp rocks!

Anyways I'm an avid collector of the older ATCS CM cases, and therefore I felt I had to reply. Currently I own:
CM ATC-210k-VX1
CM ATC-210-AX1
CM ATC-710-SX2
And my CM ATC-110-SX1 with a black/silver custom paint job should arrive in around 2 weeks. My point is this. These older Cooler Master models are some of the most well designed and beautiful cases that you will find, comparing Cooler Master's new stuff to the "old" ATCS models is like comparing a Ferrari to Ford, there is no comparison! The workmanship on these cases is astounding and for a price like that, you'd be a fool not to buy it. Now that the designers of the ATCS cases are at Silverstone, and designing the stuff we all love, Cooler Master has switched it's focus from the high-end market that they used to target, to the low to mid-range market that they cover now. With crap like the Ammo 533, Cooler Master's case designs resemble those of Aspire and not Silverstone/ATCS. It truly is sad

Now that I've vented all my frustration and anger , let me tell you this. currently my main computer (A64 3400+ "newcastle", 1.5gig hyperX, Geforce 6800GT, Dfi Lanparty Nforce 3 250GB) resides in my ATC-710-SX2 but I used to have it in my ATC-220-AX1 and it ran perfectly fine: My idle temps

56C gpu
49C cpu
38C system
38C PWMIC

my load temps weren't much higher so, don't worry that it only has to exhaust fans, sure your stuff will run a little hotter, but it's all worth it! By the way most of those cases (except for the 710) retailed at around 300 dollars so for 120 it's a steal.
 
Thanks man, I usually catch some flak from people (I said the same thing on the Cooler master forums, not too smart, lol) I'm glad you agree with me. Oh by the way I like your little chart of case/car manufacturers, TOTALLY agree with that!

I am going to be using a opteron 165, dfi ultra - d, leadtek 6800gt and plan to OC

I was hoping to get a case that is on the lighter side and is tolless
 
well lw3d, the ATC line was known for its classic elegant design and superior build quality, not for its superior cooling, since most of them have the basic 2 intake 2 exhaust layout. i wouldnt recommend the ATC-210 unless you really like the look of it and airflow isnt essential.
